Speech and Language Therapy

My therapy approach supports early communicators, late talkers, gestalt language processors, and neurodivergent children using a play-based, connection-first model. Sessions are individualized, collaborative, and designed to help your child build confident, authentic communication skills in ways that feel natural and joyful. I work closely with families and teachers to ensure strategies carry over into everyday routines, making progress feel seamless and sustainable.

AAC Assessment

I offer evidence-based AAC assessments using a feature-matching approach to help families and teams select the right device for their user. Each assessment includes a detailed funding report, support with device setup, and follow-up sessions to make sure implementation is successful and meaningful. Ongoing AAC therapy is also available to support language development and functional communication through robust, personalized systems.

Speech and Language Therapy

Every child communicates in their own way—and my goal is to support that communication with respect, curiosity, and joy. I offer speech and language therapy for early communicators, late talkers, gestalt language processors, and neurodivergent children using a neurodiversity-affirming, play-based approach. Whether your child is just starting to use words or communicates through scripts, gestures, or AAC, we’ll work together to build meaningful, functional language that fits into their world.

My therapy sessions are tailored to your child’s interests and strengths, and always center connection over compliance. You won’t find drills or flashcards here, just engaging, relationship-based therapy that honors how kids actually learn. I follow the child’s lead and embed language learning into play, routines, and real-life experiences.

Families are essential partners in therapy. I coach parents and caregivers during sessions to help you feel confident supporting communication at home, at daycare, or wherever your child goes. With the right tools and collaboration, we can build communication skills that truly last.

Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) can open powerful doors for children who need support expressing themselves. I provide comprehensive AAC assessments using an evidence-based, feature-matching approach—carefully selecting systems that align with your child’s strengths, needs, and everyday environments. Each assessment includes a detailed funding report, support with device setup, and follow-up sessions to ensure a smooth start.

But AAC success doesn’t stop at the device—it depends on the people using it every day. That’s why my approach to AAC therapy is built around coaching caregivers to become their child’s communication partner and advocate. My ultimate goal is to help families feel confident navigating AAC—not just during our sessions, but all day, every day. I work closely with parents to embed AAC into routines, play, and real-life situations so that communication becomes natural, meaningful, and sustainable.

Therapy is play-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and centered on connection—not compliance. Whether your child is just beginning their AAC journey or you’re looking to deepen their use of an existing system, I’ll partner with you to make sure AAC isn’t just a tool—it’s a voice, and it belongs to your child.

FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

No, I operate as a private-pay practice to provide individualized, flexible services without the limitations of insurance requirements or billing restrictions.

What is AAC and how do I know if my child needs it?

AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication. It's any tool or strategy that helps a person communicate when speech is limited. Examples include sign language or visual supports, but can also include high tech speech generating devices such. If your child has difficulty using speech to express themselves, they may benefit from AAC.

Where do sessions take place?

I offer in-home, in-daycare, or in-ABA center sessions, depending on what works best for your child and family. This provides the most naturalistic setting. I may also offer virtual consults for coaching or IEP support.

Can I just get parent coaching or a consultation without ongoing therapy?

Yes! I offer stand-alone consults for AAC support, general speech-language concerns, or IEP navigation. Coaching is a great way to get targeted help without committing to regular therapy sessions.

What ages do you work with?

While I welcome a wide range of communicators, I specialize in working with young children and early communicators. If you're unsure if your child is a fit, feel free to reach out!

What if I’m already in school services or ABA therapy?

Amazing! My services can complement what your child is already receiving without impacting them. I’m happy to coordinate with other professionals if you’d like a team approach.
